TJ Has been working with Families of Special Needs since he was age 16. TJ and Tracey are parenting Lauren, a person of Special Needs.

Life planning is a partnership built on trust and integrity. Although this is always important, it is especially vital to families with special needs. Thomas P. Kroehle, Jr., TJ as he is known, is an independent life planner, who works with families with special needs. He understands the importance of developing a strategic, long-term life plan that takes into consideration their very unique circumstances. His philosophy centers on the cornerstone of the strength of the family unit.

TJ helps clients understand their need to develop the appropriate wills and trusts. He helps them see the need for a "Letter of Intent" which defines their special needs person's hopes, dreams and desires through a lifetime strategy. He is knowledgeable in government programs that aid special needs families, and he coaches families in how to obtain government aid, such as SSI. More importantly he helps the family understand how to maintain those government programs throughout their loved one's lifetime.

Life Planning for Families of Special Needs is a non-profit group created by TJ to specialize in assisting individuals with disabilities and their families. TJ frequently speaks to state and local groups such as ARC, Life Path, Down Syndrome Guilds, Autism Societies, Region X and XI, various ISD's and other similar organizations.

Whether it is insurance and estate planning, a secure retirement, or leaving a legacy, every person, family and situation is unique and requires customized and highly personalized solutions.

Michael joined Income by Design and Life Planning for Families of Special Needs in March of 2007 to pursue his career as an independent life planner. Prior to the move, he spent nine years with Lincoln Financial Advisors a nationally recognized advisory firm, honig his planning skills. He has developed specialization in helping clients accumulate, conserve and transfer wealth utilizing a multitude of strategies. Michael holds the series 7 and series 63 securities registrations along with the general insurance license allowing him to provide a wide spectrum of solutions for his client's needs.

Michael believes in building long-term relationships with clients that are based on a partnership of trust and integrity. He understands the importance of building and monitoring a long-term strategic life plan. The plans are based on each clients's unique circumstances, goals and objectives. He educates the clients a bout the different factors that affect their plans. He strives to provide the best solutions available for each by growing this knowledge base through educational seminars, research and utilization of multiple resources offering new solutions.

Hillary Kent joined Income by Design and Life Planning for Families of Special Needs in 2010 with 29 years’ experience in financial services. After graduating from Texas A&M University, Magna Cum Laude, Hillary began her career in financial services in the Dallas area. Hillary is an active member of the Financial Planning Association.

Hillary is a CFP® professional employing a holistic life planning perspective to help clients meet their life goals. She brings an engaging, straightforward style of explaining complex financial matters and offers diverse solutions for addressing client driven goals while aligning client’s emotional hopes, dreams and desires for the future with logic based actionable decisions. Client centered planning includes setting short, intermediate and long term goals, evaluation of resources and financial solutions available to help meet wealth accumulation, retirement and intergenerational or legacy planning objectives.

Hillary specializes in working with families of special needs in assisting families in creating long range care plans for their family member with a disability. As a parent of two children with disabilities, she recognizes and embraces the necessary level of commitment to families with steadfast integrity and service in developing meaningful living care plans.

When not in the office, Hillary spends her time with her children, participating in scouting, organic gardening and caring for the menagerie of pets residing in their household.
